Step Out of the Shadows: Brotherhood Requires Truth | Mista Yu
Men, this is for every husband, father, brother, and son connected to MRTS, our communities, and my life.
We have to stop hiding behind the rules of being a provider and using “we’re fine” as a shield.
Providing is part of our responsibility. But it was never meant to become our identity, our excuse, or our hiding place.
Some of us need to step out of the shadows. Tell the truth. Let somebody in. Find your brothers. Take responsibility. Heal what needs healing. And become the man God has called you to be.
Ephesians 4 reminds us that we are members of one body, that we are called to maturity, and that we are to “speak truthfully” with one another.
So here’s the challenge:
Stop lying to yourself in the mirror. Stop saying “I’m fine” when you know you’re not.

Stop carrying everything alone.
Brotherhood requires presence. Kingdom work requires action.
Step out of the shadows! Go to work. Kingdom work.
Ephesians 4:1–3 — Walk worthy of the calling, with humility, gentleness, patience, love, and a commitment to unity.
Ephesians 4:11–13 — We are equipped to serve and build up the body until we reach maturity.
Ephesians 4:25 — “Speak truthfully” because we are members of one body.
