Too often, we’re waiting for the dramatic.
🌩️ The thunder.
🔥 The fire.
📣 The booming prophetic word.
🚪 The sudden open door.
We’re looking for Heaven to explode in our favor while overlooking one of the most powerful things God has placed within our reach:
✅ Our YES.
Throughout Scripture, breakthrough was often preceded by someone’s agreement with God.
📖 Mary said, “Be it unto me according to your word” (Luke 1:38). Her yes didn’t just change her life—it changed the course of human history.
📖 Isaiah responded, “Here am I. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8). His agreement positioned him to become a prophetic voice to a nation.
📖 Ananias said yes to God’s instruction concerning Saul (Acts 9:10-19). His obedience became part of the process that helped launch the ministry of the Apostle Paul and impact generations.
Notice the pattern:
➡️ Agreement precedes assignment.
➡️ Surrender precedes significance.
➡️ Yielding often precedes breakthrough.
Recently, I stepped into three areas that felt entirely new—an elevated level beyond where I had previously operated.
Nothing unusual happened.
No dramatic prophecy.
No special platform.
No strategic breakthrough.
No extraordinary circumstances.
The only thing that changed was my posture.
That morning, I stopped fighting.
I stopped arguing internally.
I stopped wrestling with mental battles.
I stopped defending what I wanted to control.
Instead, I simply prayed:
🙏 “Lord, You have my yes.
I yield myself to You.
This isn’t mine—it’s Yours.”
What followed was supernatural.
Not emotional hype.
Not religious performance.
Not something I could manufacture.
It was tangible.
It was undeniable.
It was clearly beyond me.
So who gets the glory for that?
👑 Not me.
Because the breakthrough wasn’t born from striving—it came through surrender.
Maybe the answer isn’t found in trying harder.
Maybe the invitation is simply to agree with what God is already saying.
Take the focus off your ability and place it on His heart.
Take the pressure off your performance and place it on His promises.
Give the Father of Heaven and Earth your YES.
You may be surprised what He does next.
